I keep dreaming about people and places from over a decade ago, and somehow, they still haunt the depths of my soul. a sorrow that never let go took hold the day I gave up everything for nothing. this regret will burn within me until the grave.

The things you’ve experienced are unique, and I truly respect that. Honestly, I have no conflict with my past - not even with the dark or sorrowful days. Like you said, using them as fuel to grow stronger is essential for me too. But broken connections… they’re like fire smoldering beneath the ashes. Energies drift through time - long or short - as if people remain somehow chained to one another

they haunt you (usually for a temporary, short stretch of time) not because they were extraordinary people who you shouldn’t have let go of, or held some kid of peer over you.. but I believe some dreams are simply travels— to different times that we’ve before, but maybe in a paralellely unfolding dimension. what happens in the past do have an effect on the future, but humans hold much more control now over the kind and force of impact as a level of residual pain. it seemed you had a bit of it.. whenever you wrote that. 

i had a very “directed by david lynch traumatic” childhood. It was as absurd as uhh as it was traumatic, sometimes the absurdity level made me chuckle then go back to crying, it looped like that, but then stopped. I dircdream badly about past waking life nightmares, the more peace you make with them, the less ability of hurting you remains
