I’ve come to hate the quotecast/retweet-the-same-exact-thing meta. 

It’s the same as AI slop to me.

RT/QC in support, but say something original.

Show me the incentive and I’ll show you the outcome.

Yeah. To be clear I’m thankful that QCs are “incentivized”. 

But I do hate this particular side effect of essentially empty QCs. 

Although I also see it on Twitter. 🤔

Just to be clear my original cast is not about quote casts. 

It’s about copy-pasting the same thing that’s in the cast as the quote.

To me, they're largely "Hey, let's transfer this convo to my cast so I can get rewards, and btw, I have more to say about this and btw, I want this to be seen, not buried under replies which are not seen on Farcaster"

The third point I can get, though. I hate the fact good convos are buried here, and not seen by others. Cascade structure on Reddit has spoiled me.

Not disagreeing but we definitely saw a bump in QC with rewards and it’ll be more so because of the incentives on top casts in the algo change.
