I have gained some weight since becoming a dad and want to get back into running and lifting once the nanny starts. Any tips on good running shoes for a flatfooted man? Or any good weight routines?

Not a joke: kids are actually great weights for calisthenics. I use my newborn daughter for light resistance and my 5 year old for more intense work. And then once they start running the cardio takes care of itself.
