I'm old enough now to appreciate that Oasis brought nothing at all new to music and just wrote good songs that, both then and now, sound like they were 30 years old. In the 90s I thought they were so boring and derivative.

Weren’t they accused of / sued for stealing entire songs also ? I faded them back in the day but kind dig ‘em recently.

Yeah I mean they are totally insufferable cunts. Somewhere between Morissey and Eric Clapton on the UK-guitar-rock-bigot scale. But the songs are very much premium mediocre, rather than the forgettable slop I had them categorized as.

First of all fvck Clapton all together never could stand that guy. Kinda had; The Verve, Radiohead, Coldplay, and Oasis in one category. But yeah, to paraphrase: 'premium mediocre, not complete slop' seems fair. 👍 Not sure if Pink Floyd fits into that broader category but they are great no matter what.
