the wearable tech revolution is finally happening and it's gonna get weird AF over the next 10 years smart watches and airpods (and similar) ... around for a while and cool but now meta glasses, apple vision pro, humane pin ... all clunky for now, but not for long

What if millions of teens were using next-gen wearables on a weekly basis TODAY! https://9to5mac.com/2024/04/09/survey-teenagers-using-more-vr-devices/

I miss Google Glass. Really frustrated with how all that went down.

I think this really will bring mental health and wellbeing sharply into focus. How we navigate this territory whilst taking care of ourselves and those around us will be vital.

Did you see MKBHD absolutely eviscerate the Humane Pin? RIP.

I agree. mkbhd was very critical but this will be so sick in 5 years https://youtu.be/TitZV6k8zfA?si=Mv5HZxirOvvzGk6G

Human factors (the comfort and usage on a person) make wearables, especially vision based ones, extremely hard. I've seen a big jump in the last few years, but we're not yet at mainstream adoption tech yet. Hopefully in the next 5. Robocop here we come. 333 $DEGEN

I am one of those that still wears a mechanical watch, and at the same time a fitness tracker (not Apple Watch as it's too big). I've been thinking of buying an Oura over the years, but I am still missing a key feature (the alarm)... the future does look dystopic but that's the point. :)

Spent a good amount of time on both the Quest 3 and Vision Pro. It feels like they missed the timing. VR is going to be big in the future but not yet. It’s definetly a wow experience the first few days but it wears of fast and you get back to your old devices. Looking forward to some decent smart rings though!
