Question for the FC intelligensia: Why don't we have more apps launching onchain?

We need more apps.

It's insanity that after 10 years we've still barely seen any crypto / blockchain apps go mainstream, yet companies are still rebuilding the same programming environments over and over expecting a different result.

I’m working on one right now. My goal is to make the crypto parts undetectable to a normie. I think the key to this is using embedded wallets, sponsored gas, no fiat on-ramps required. If we get one good mass market example of a frictionless crypto experience in an app/game others will follow.

Casting about:
- AI
- working on Coinbase Wallet
- renovating my MCM 1960s house
- plants

The one big hurdle is Apple gatekeeping crypto features from their apps but I’m hoping to find clever ways to incorporate crypto functionality while staying within guidelines. If it wasn’t for Apple’s vendetta against crypto I think you’d see more ERC20s used for IAP.
