I'm hoping Farcaster helps with this problem. You're 100% right. The state of the art is paid KOL and botting to fake engagement to market your product. Actual high quality marketing is expensive, but I actually think the problem is X/Twitter pricing models, and the policies that actually incentivize botting and driveby posting. On Twitter, there's no incentive to stop it since teams get to see fake engagement, Twitter gets a cut in ad revenue, and marketing executives get to show KPIs There's some top researchers here on farcaster as well as an open opportunity to build new products that can target or at least drive higher quality engagement.
