By 2025, as Ethereum continues to evolve through upgrades like EIP-4844 (proto-danksharding) and zkRollup adoption, Ethereum could potentially handle tens of thousands of transactions per second (TPS), bringing it closer to the scalability of traditional financial networks. The challenge will be achieving widespread rollup adoption, ensuring their security, and maintaining compatibility with Ethereum’s existing infrastructure.
