posted this in 2022: https://x.com/cyrusclarke/status/1489006732923715584 none of those points were really addressed. had conversations with people and heard lot of bluster and bad takes so opted out of the space. ultimately things are probably worse than i imagined they would be. there is a massive opportunity for DeSci if done well, but so far it's just co-opted by money people pretending to care about science for personal gain.

Ooh great will have a read - yeh I think there are so many potential applications yet to be explored and it’s so easy to just launch a governance token that that’s what everyone has done and it’s become a new form of crowdfunded vc on science that’s farr more early stage and more risky. At least cool science is getting funded at the early stage
