SERIOUS QUESTION. Trigger warning… it’s dark. Would killing a child be okay by ethical or moral standards if there was definitive knowledge that this child was going to grow up to be a brutal dictator killing millions of people and cause endless suffering for others?

how would it be definitive? I’m not the same constellation of energies as I was yesterday, yet I remain me. certainly 30 years ago I was yet a different set of energies. including one who thought about killing people who were abusive. as of yet I’ve never snapped and killed anyone, yet I’ve certainly had the opportunity to. 🫶🏻

There is no actual way to know definitively definitively but if there was some sort of a way to know for sure that they would be destined to be evil despite a change in their upbringing or amount of love received. Obviously it’s super hypothetical, but WHAT IF it was possible to see into a crystal ball and know? 🔮 p.s. thanks for playing my WHAT IF game. my mom and my friends always hated my ‘what if game’ questions 😅

I’m a big “what if” game/philosopher of sorts too. 🫶🏻 (and most people won’t “play” it with me either -so thank you!) I was actually just wondering about a specific actor and why he was so adept at military roles (alexander skarsgård) and I confirmed he actually was in the military for a period of his life. so, ethically, morally, I don’t think I could ever condone such a killing, unless the action had already occurred and it was possible to “go back” and end them before their rise to power? but then that opens up the nature vs nurture aspect for me. if they were given an alternative path, would they take it? this is also why I believe children are the best indicators of health in the world. imo, every child who is under-supported with empathy, trust, and security, is more vulnerable to corruption of self. 🫶🏻
