Every time I help onboard someone I'm constantly reminded of how there are way too many apps and steps to make sense of anything. Coinbase, Metamask, ETH, Base Network, Bridging, CoinGecko, Zerion, Dexscreener, Uniswap, Warpcast. This need to be as simple as downloading one app. So much work still left to do.

does there have to be one app? think about all the apps i’m sure most people in here use for comms discord, telegram, warpcast, whatsapp, signal, slack these are all comms apps but they also serve different niche things for different people i think there needs to be apps that make certain experiences simpler

It's true, warpcast is making things a bit easier but some of those steps are definitely a learning curve for the majority of "common" people

What we need is an open-source Unix-based OS that comes with a walkthrough and starter clients to blockchain applications. Then developers can build more robust clients and applications available through an app store in this OS.

People need to use a product and not even know they’re using all the above. Internet companies used to label themselves as companies to market to buyers, now we all constantly use the internet for a million things every day and no one cares about the underlying tech. It just makes our lives better.

Agreed. It seems like it will come through the Coinbase vertical and then once people are comfortable then they can branch out to the more decentralized protocols.
