if i were to run a scam, i'd like to target gym goers and make them pay to do heavy manual labor, like building someone's house (i'm pretty sure many would move much better after lifting, carrying and placing bricks than they do now after a gazillion isolated exercises)

Sounds great in theory but gym goers often get addicted to programs and progress. It’s difficult do develop these programs (carrying and dropping will be the only activity). It’s also impossible to show strength progress since you can’t up the brick weight.

you can up brick count! anyway, i get your point, but gym progress tracking is stuck in the 20th century (at best) we should be (and mostly are) able to monitor muscle activation, heart rate, blood levels, etc. almost instantly and spam the trainee with progress dopamine hits every second
