Hello /science friends! Here is a walk through of one of my favorite and beautifully simple lab protocols. It's called a BATH assay (bacterial adhesion to hydrocarbons) and it allows you to quantify how hydrophobic a bacterial cell surface is! (sound on for the details!)

Oh wow, I can't  imagine,I bet there's always a lot of eureka moments after any successful tests.

You'd be surprised how straightforward a lot of lab experiments are (I can't promise they won't fail though 🤣)

I love stuff like this. Used to work in an analytical equipment factory and love seeing how these things are actually used lol
