One thing I notice about ticks is that they are actually not as bad now that I’ve stopped spraying for them and poisoning small rodents. 

Yard attracts more birds & apex predators which eat the ticks/rodents (where the ticks live) keeping the populations in check. 

We are going to realize that many of our climate issues are made worse by meddling in natural ecosystems when we should be figuring out how to coexist better.

She talks about how insecticides, etc. should actually be called biocides, since the purpose is to kill life

I think we'll look at this era as madness given we intentionally poison all life and wonder why we have pest problems
