Day 2 rebuilding our backend in Golang! And so far I am quite happy to have made the switch. One of the biggest reasons was build times and developer satisfaction. Happiness >>> convenience.

We were struggling to push simple functions and have the TS LSP do reflection on different types within the monorepo.

as much as i hate to admit it as a ts/js maxi, golang or python are def preferred for backends for this exact reason. i maintain projects with both as well as ts and i always dread updating/fixing the ts ones lol.

Yeah it’s insane. AI makes it trivial to grapple and compound.
