From time to time @erica and I have been focuses of unwanted and unwelcome interactions. Our presence and influence has grown, and we show up on multiple surfaces.
Though we have a following, no one is writing and publishing about us. We are not public figures. Our preferred way to handle these situations is to set clear boundaries, use platform safety tools, and not escalate.
Sometimes that is not enough, so I will be clear here: stop means stop.
Harassment, cyberbullying, defamation, libel/slander, and impersonation are expensive problems to solve, but fortunately we have worked hard and have the resources to solve them.
Safety and protection for myself and my cofounders is mission critical. Just this past weekend a bunch of accounts were spun up to phish friends on the socials. If you find accounts that are trying to impersonate us using our names/pfps, please report them.
