I still don't understand why someone would borrow from Moonpay at an APY of 18% when they can do the same from Aave at <10%. 

What am I missing?

Calling AAVE stupid is kind of a stretch. 4 fingers pointing back in this case? AAVE is the safest and most battle proven lending platform. Security, decentralization and safety has a price. I could provide collateral at other platforms, but I’ve seen too many platforms shut down after 2-5 years. Trust is key 🔑.

I think it’s probably due to the higher utilization. That might be part of it
