Looking Ahead 9. Base is adding a Farcaster-powered feed to Coinbase Wallet and will likely significantly increase the number of onboarded and active FIDs. 10. As part of this integration, we're improving parts of the protocol to make it less dependent on Warpcast. This work will make it easier for any other existing or new app to integrate Farcaster. This includes improvements to sign in with Farcaster and direct cast APIs. 11. We're actively investigating how to reduce the cost of sign ups while still managing spam. 12. We're considering and soliciting input on simplifying product names: Warpcast to Farcaster app, Frames to mini apps, etc. The goal is to make it easier to understand for consumers. 13. Ultimately, our most important priority remains the same: significantly increase the number of daily active users on the protocol. If we achieve that, developers will have a larger potential audience for their mini apps and/or clients. 2/3

While there I drove our transformation from a four asset company (BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC) to the infinite asset backend Coinbase has now. I also championed and led the USDC launch at Coinbase, taking it from $0 to $1. And worked closely with @dwr.eth, who has been a friend for 10+ years. So, if you want to build real crypto products — not gambling, not vaporware — come work with us. I think Farcaster is exceptionally underrated as a protocol and want to use it as the backbone for a new kind of crypto-first school. To motivate: imagine if every problem you solved in college doubled as a portfolio piece — as a *proof-of-learning* NFT added to your public ENS. Starting to feel like how long I’ve been in crypto is actually a bad thing for thinking about what new users want. My preferences and onboarding expectations are so deeply engrained that I find myself doing and wanting things that no real person would ever want or do. It’s almost like I need to throw everything I think is necessary completely out the window

made a short trip to nyc to surprise my brother for his birthday. man kids these days vape a lot. they're at the age of filing taxes for the first time and looks like the city income tax was a rude awakening. he and his gf served everyone shin ramen + soju all night which was so sweet!
