Maybe West is losing the information war because it never had the right information to begin with. This is the kind of thing that irks me: "It's not that we don't have the facts, we just can't make people care about them". This article is literally complaining that they can't filter information before out reaches mass population (remarkably, they call out China for doing it, and then want the same thing in the West). Classic liberal posturing: "we are smart. People are stupid". Yes, sometimes people are but so are liberals. Half-baked facts sprinkled with some western supremacy aren't enough for cultural and informational mandate. Improve your country's education, media literacy, critical analysis skills, and most importantly build a fair society - no one will fall for a propaganda TikTok video.

You just have a knee-jerk reaction because someone said 'West'.  “Authoritarian regimes have real vulnerabilities—corruption, repression, inequality, and elite hypocrisy.” “This isn’t about copying authoritarian tactics. It’s about defending the values we care about—freedom, transparency, democracy—with creative and bold strategies.“
