libertarian -> e/acc arc is now complete where they always focus on one single thing and ignore externalities (see screenshot). Here are realities: - Yes, OpenAI copied “millions” of Times articles to train GPT models and build itself a new business; while infringing copyright & harming NYT's subscription business. - Almost all other foundational model builders did the same, including XAI which also infringed copyright of its own users. - Yes, court order is a breach to user privacy, but that's what happens in all "trust-based" systems that centralized corporations like OpenAI or XAI heavily rely on. - There is NOTHING preventing consumers to adopt the cheaper, open-source models that now also offer more private communications. *cough* Deepseek. - Any argument that claims "intellectual property" should be open should remain consistent and claim all properties should be open; including all billionaire houses and businesses.

Haha indeed they are pushing to end intellectual property just because it is in their interest to do so as platforms
