I love taking photos of cute signs. In Japanese the word pig is bura (boo-rah) so I think that’s the play on words here. In American English, a “boo-boo” is an injury and you’d use it with small children: Did you fall and get a boo boo? Let me get you a bandage and kiss it and make it all better. “Boo!” is also what a ghost says when it’s trying to scare you. Languages are weird.

The common sound games of languages actually give us a lot of information without us realizing it. In Turkish, “Bo-Bo” is a threat, but a vowel is used. Like Böö-Böö :)
