Ok, this was so much bigger than I thought. Here’s an idea I have for choosing the winner… love feedback. 1. After thousands of shares, there are so many people in need and stories that deeply moved me. We are going to review all of them and then select four people who we think this can truly help the most. We will do this by noon EST tomorrow, Feb 27th. 2. We then will take the four people and use @ponder to let the entire community vote for 24 hours on who should get the money. 3. I'be been sitting on this question not knowing how to reply because I genuinely do not consider myself a role model. Guys, be real here — I've so far in this life failed at every single traditional societal success marker. Whatever I'm doing, it's not working. Am I agentic? I have no idea. I am idiosyncratic and weird. I have a raw industriousness that can only be applied to stuff I care about. I have an information addiction. I can read extremely fast with above average recall. I'm not sure any of this is replicable or teachable. It is innate to who I am; born this way. I am no longer working full time, either. Maybe that's a point for me having agency. There's a whole backstory but the short of it: I got recruited for a corporate job and in the process realized I hated the path I was on in every way. All of it. From where I live to what jobs I'm eligible for. I want the next 30yr of my life to look different so they will. What do I have to lose? Like I said at the top, I've already failed so much.

This assumes that the final 80% of the work is static, and that’s an incorrect assumption in most cases. The Pareto Principle is about finding the correct initial 20% effort to get 80% benefit. Then, you iterate and learn and probably do it all over again.
