I feel very lost now that I don’t have anything to tip the casts I like.

@eggsdotfun has clear rules for getting an allowance, but I’m not there yet.

@tipn is widely used, but the rules for getting an allowance aren’t clear at all, so I’m not sure how close or far I am from getting one.

I also feel that way fewer people are talking to me, probably because I can’t tip.

Little by little, I’m starting to lose interest in this platform.

I’m a writer and an editor. I love art, literature, music, and to drink good coffee. I practice Ashtanga yoga. I’m here to connect and learn. 

what is your reason(s) for being here on Farcaster beyond tipping? That’s where I would suggest you focus your attention. If tipping is the driving force behind engagement, it’s never going to last. I’ve always appreciated your thoughtfulness and genuine this, so hope you can figure it out to stay here.

Yes, that’s something I miss a lot. Last year there were many hiccups with artists being flagged as spam, and some of the incentives for artists have disappeared.
Still, there are some very nice people active, like @ilannnnnnnnkatin, @arjantupan, @entter, among others.

And it feels like Art has kind of disappeared

Thank you for your thoughts. I started here to meet nice people, have valuable exchanges, and see some cool art. It worked well for a while. Little by little, people started showing up less or leaving the platform. Of course, there are still many cool people who stayed.
In the beginning, with the degen tips, the forces of money/tipping and genuine exchanges felt more balanced.
Now, somehow, I feel everything has become more superficial and aimed at financial reward. Maybe it’s just a phase.
