as we saw what happened to the original owner of the @ X   handle.

and they'd be able to swipe it back from you at any time even if you did buy it

I can’t think of a bigger waste of money than a vanity name Elon can rug any time, on a dying platform. Count your blessings. Put that money to better use. Fund public goods maybe.
