getting botox for my tmj today crazy i know but i’ve been told it helps this tmj stuff is the worst, it feels like a train crash is happening in my jaw every second

Ah man that’s the worst. I had it really bad for a while. Dentist suggested I stop chewing gum (or eating Carmel/taffy/other sticky foods, which I didn’t really), and to stop moving my jaw unnecessarily or clenching and just relax it whenever I think about it. Guess that worked.

Interesting. I guess the principle of it is that it gives you temporary release from pain, so you can address the necessary adaptations with more serenity. Good luck Binji. Sleep on your back.

8+ years, no TMJ solutions for me, turns out I have EDS so my ligaments in my jaw never work right Night guard, hot compress/cold ice back, lots of circles for me tho, wish you luck
