It’s actually insane how movie ideas used to be wildly original and now everything feels like it was engineered by a boardroom trying to optimize relatability. The average blockbuster today feels like it was created by an algorithm trained on TikTok comments and Marvel dialogue. Directors have mostly pivoted from asking the what ifs that spark intriguing movies, it’s now all about “what worked last time”
