it seems to me a parallel between divinity and the church might be science and big pharma seemingly working in the same field, but one has an agenda and the other in it's best form has a purity priests, like scientists, have different relationships to the core of the medium, would be my guess idk, if god whispered the big bang in this guys head or not though, or even if the big bang is considered as a wholly satisfying explanation by all scientists anymore

yeah, I mean the very same apparatus that put Galileo under house arrest for the remainder of his life for positing that the earth was not in fact the center of our galaxy as the church had authorized, kinda strange for them to suddenly have a change of approach about a theorized origin of the universe when it comes from within
