I’m getting much better at actually clicking unsubscribe on emails. I used to get annoyed when it was too many steps and just throw them in my spam folder. Now I do both and my inbox has become 10% more manageable. At this point, I really want a tool that automatically does this for me. I want to start over. I have 20 years of bad decisions haunting my Gmail account.

So you know sometimes unsubscribe is a mechanism to find out if you’re a real person?

This is my biggest fear. It’s why I do unsub and junk but only on legit looking things. Otherwise just straight to junk

If you use Gmail they’ll unsubscribe for you too. The leading security guidance is to not unsubscribe unless it’s something you know you subscribed to before.

I have a user at work getting 1,300 spam messages a day, it’s crazy and no real good way to stop it when the senders have legit email settings
