Where I'd like to cast from 😊😍 There’s something about living by the water - rivers, lakes, oceans - that just pulls at us. The rhythm, the reflection, the feeling of being both grounded and fluid at once. Maybe it's the proximity to something vast, unpredictable, and alive. Maybe it reminds us to slow down πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ But it’s not all poetic sunsets. Salt corrodes. Floods happen. Isolation sets in. Water demands respect. Still… we keep getting drawn in. Why do you think we’re so magnetized by life near water? Is it freedom? Beauty? Instinct?

I think it's something instinctive. Like the urge to go back home. I've spent most of my life living by the Atlantic Ocean, and I've always felt a kind of claustrophobia when being far from surfing its waves or simply watching them and smelling the foam. 🌊 πŸ–€ πŸ–€

Totally. πŸ–€ When I go over there, I have to get close to the beach, even if just for a moment, bc of the smell. Here in the Mediterranean, it's not the same, lacks intensity.

True, but still smells like sea. Here in Bucharest - zero scent πŸ˜… πŸ˜† πŸ˜‚

Using a bit of imagination, I now live just 4 km from the sea. Closer than in Bucharest, true. But I bet you’re enjoying cooler weather over there (it's 35ΒΊC here in Valencia today...πŸ₯΅ )

You'll be surprised, but it's pretty hot in the city all summer long. Like 35-40C, even 45 during heatwaves. I'm lucky I live at the outskirts, close to a forest. Also, I do pretty well with heat, cold weather gets me πŸ˜… πŸ˜‚

OMFG! πŸ˜… I thought the weather there would be a bit cooler. I start melting as soon as it hits 25Β°C, and I've been living here for 7 years, where you won’t see that temperature in summer, not even at 4 AM! πŸ˜‚

Yup, it used to be a bit cooler but it's been crazy these past 5-10 years. I think the huge amount of concrete and lack of sufficient green spaces is creating this oven effect πŸ˜… πŸ˜‚ If you're by the sea at least there's a breeze, that helps a bit. I've only been in Valencia once, just passing through. Always wanted to come back for a proper stay, it's lovely!! 😍

I guess it’s happening almost everywhere. the heat, I mean. I still remember when there used to be 4 seasons… πŸ˜… We’re already having a July level June here, and the heat usually doesn’t let up until October πŸ˜… . And yes, we really need to step up and plant more trees in cities if we want them to stay livable. Valencia is beautiful, but the real gem of Spain is the north, trust me on that. Btw I’m really looking forward to visiting Romania asap. I’ve never been, but I have a friend from there who’s always saying wonderful things about it. πŸ–€ She’s from Cluj-Napoca, I think it’s a bit cooler there. 😁 πŸ–€
