Where I'd like to cast from ππ Thereβs something about living by the water - rivers, lakes, oceans - that just pulls at us. The rhythm, the reflection, the feeling of being both grounded and fluid at once. Maybe it's the proximity to something vast, unpredictable, and alive. Maybe it reminds us to slow down π§ββοΈ But itβs not all poetic sunsets. Salt corrodes. Floods happen. Isolation sets in. Water demands respect. Stillβ¦ we keep getting drawn in. Why do you think weβre so magnetized by life near water? Is it freedom? Beauty? Instinct?

I think it's something instinctive. Like the urge to go back home. I've spent most of my life living by the Atlantic Ocean, and I've always felt a kind of claustrophobia when being far from surfing its waves or simply watching them and smelling the foam. π π€ π€

Totally. π€ When I go over there, I have to get close to the beach, even if just for a moment, bc of the smell. Here in the Mediterranean, it's not the same, lacks intensity.

True, but still smells like sea. Here in Bucharest - zero scent π π π

Using a bit of imagination, I now live just 4 km from the sea. Closer than in Bucharest, true. But I bet youβre enjoying cooler weather over there (it's 35ΒΊC here in Valencia today...π₯΅ )

You'll be surprised, but it's pretty hot in the city all summer long. Like 35-40C, even 45 during heatwaves. I'm lucky I live at the outskirts, close to a forest. Also, I do pretty well with heat, cold weather gets me π π
