OH NO!
I sent a postcard to @bochini over a year ago, and it is returned to me today... This one did not make it. I guess that's part of the charm.

Will need to try again.

I also love how the journey is recorded on the envelop. I can see it entered the French system in september, was in Argentine in October. Something happened on December 28 and by February (a sticker on the other side of the envelop) it was back in France. Just this week, it was back in my letterbox.

a bunch of postcards i sent will probably never make it because of what i now believe was the wrong bin (3 years and counting, most people have changed addresses since)

others i still haven't heard an update on, but were sent more recently

The good thing is that it found its way back home.

What a story about that box! And yes, there is poetry and magic in this process. Especially as it has taken so long, but still works. This is exactly why you put a return address on it. And why I send my postcards in envelopes.
Interestingly, from a sticker on the other side of the envelope, it seems that it was back in France already in February. I sent it in August or September 2024. Even with these loooooong lead times, it did make it back to me.

Ohhhhh noooo. It is magical that it found its way home. 
It is nice as an object though. 
And also poetic.

I have a funny story related to things that come back. Some years ago, my mother and my brother forgot many clothes at my place. It is a long story why. But then, I made a big box and sent it to Brazil. It wasn’t cheap, I must say. 
Some months later, the box returned to my place 😅😅😅
It never made it.

I love it returning after so long so much.
