The top 1% of users saying they'll definitely buy Pro gets a lot of visibility & traction on feeds by virtue of the users being popular accounts. But I wonder how prevalent this opinion actually is... 🤔

I'm still on the fence about getting Pro. What about you?

Yeah, I think I'm in a similar mindset as you are about things. Pro is something FC says is to support rewarding others, as all the fees go towards the rewards program.

There is a Pro badge too, that does seem like only a vanity title right now. Won't be as time goes on though, I'd bet.

I read that the Pro subscription won't boost your reach/distribution. The NFT doesn't provide anything extra either.

With that said, I feel like we're either paying to support or to have the appearance of the badge imo but I can see how the appearance of the badge could attract more engagement from others.

For me, it's tempting because I want to support and also, let's be real we're all kinda weak to badges 😂

I mean, I'm really glad they've answered the big questions: it's not going to boost visibility/scores/spam labels.

I think if it's doing everything you want to right now, there's no need for Pro, ofc.

So to explain myself a bit further: my uneasiness with Pro is that IMHO it's definitely going to be used to reward Pro badge holders in one way or another. I'm thinking INDIRECTLY, such as via access, airdrops from other projects, and things like that. Let's be honest with ourselves--this is definitely going to happen.

So FC protocol & app can wash their hands, draw a line, and say "oh, we're not giving Pro users special treatment" (which to be fair, they aren't directly), while others in the ecosystem do exactly that. FC knows this, and perhaps this is the desired consequence by specific design.

That's why I feel a bit split about supporting the concept, and would like to hear opinions on it.

Yeah I paid for X Premium Plus, absolutely ridiculous. Also never used Grok in my life, yet. The only benefit for me is getting rid of ads in the mobile app, because I already hid all ads in browser via other methods, years ago.

I did away with my X sub, premium plus or whatever. The actual “please don’t show me ads” sub which still results in your feed being full of undisclosed ads for Stake.

So for less than half the cost for a network I actually enjoy using, ye, I can go for that

I was 100% gonna get it when there was only going to be 1000 NFTs but now that there are gonna be 10k I’m not sure

Yes, I'm all for supporting FC, but I may just take a wait-and-see approach, ain't no rush for me. I'm certainly not in it for some limited NFT, just not my thang.

I think I'm on the fence ATM who knows anything can happen though
