It’s funny, when someone Chinese or   Singaporean wants to flex they take a picture of a skyline or a bullet train.

When an American wants to flex they show you a GDP chart, because nothing they could take a photo of that would impress was built in the past 50 years.

Nobody ever contested that technocapitalism is going well.

Back when Indurain was winning the Tour de France every year, there was a song in Spain that was essentially “Indurain! Indurain! Indurain!” shouted melodically to a tune. 

I think the pro-US side of this debate is the same with a somewhat harder name to use in a melody.
