A US YouTuber can get $10 per 1,000 views. A Nigerian YouTuber? $1 per 1,000 views. Same video. Same work. 10x less money. Add in other factors like higher monetization thresholds, in reality it's 50x to 100x less. The internet is global, your income should be too. Onchain lets you capture the value you create, from anyone, anywhere. /

I don’t think it has anything to do with the creator, but actually the audience

Your own employer does the same thing, is that unfair too? https://www.coinbase.com/blog/coinbase-is-committed-to-fair-and-equitable-compensation-for-every-employee https://www.coinbase.com/blog/how-coinbase-is-rethinking-its-approach-to-compensation

Wasn’t aware of this and it makes sense. Another reason onchain captures more reach for people worldwide regardless of their currency

Same when paying for services… go daddy is way more expensive for a USA consumer as opposed to its next door neighbor Mexico.

It's based on the ads revenue. There are wayyy too few leads from ads in Nigeria as there are in the US per 1000 views on ads.

That's the reality, our effort have different values in different place, let's build onchain that gives value without looking who you are and where you are.

Most social media don't pay a Nigerian same way they pay an American cause they feel it's botted and most times it's true. Just take a look at the Nigerian spotify saga.

I believe YouTube’s monetization model works because it adjusts revenue based on different geographies but even with that advantage, the future is still onchain. Global, transparent, and borderless. That's where we're headed.
