One of the most admirable things about 0x is its longevity -- you guys have been in the arena for almost a decade How have you and Amir maintained your health and stamina after going through so many cycles?

Having a clear mission and vision for the future: Create a tokenized world where all value can flow freely. We believe all forms of value will be tokenized and globally accessible markets will serve as a powerful equalizing force for the world. Getting to work on insanely cool tech alongside insanely motivated people.

Follow-up (if that's alright) -- what have been the darkest moments in the journey?

There have been many setbacks and dark moments. One that stands out is when 0x protocol was forked by our largest integrator. They took all of their liquidity and users with them, launched a token, and we were powerless. Ultimately it was a lesson that we must control our own destiny. https://medium.com/hydro-protocol/why-we-are-forking-0x-97dc48ee0426

I remember the ddex saga You also had good collaborative teams like radar, but all it takes is one party to defect, unfortunately Also, echoes of this with sushi/uni a few years later

Forking is a smart economic move. Once product/market fit is proven, it’s cheaper to copy than start from scratch. It’s not a flaw. It’s proof you’ve found value. Now, it’s time to compete, raise capital, build strong teams and hire better managers.
