Today's most interesting pickup.... I've been cooking with algae oil for the past 5 months, so I figured it might be time to try something different. This does have a bunch of other stuff in it besides just bacon grease, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I have cooked with lard in the past as my primary cooking fat, so this might just be an unnecessary extra in comparison. Have you tried this? What type of oil/fat do you cook with normally?

Oh I have too many jars of reserved bacon fat. I usually go with olive oil and avocado oil for high heat. Bacon fat for special occasions 🫡

Algae oil has a smoke point of 530* f, kick ass for searing steaks!
