For the sake of scientific accuracy, is she considered intersex?
I'm personally not for transgender athletes to compete in their transitioned genders, but intersex is a real hedge case from what I understand.

As with anything, defining categories mean setting boundaries, mean having ppl sitting right at these boundaries, creating controversies. Always gonna happen as long as we work with categories (which I'm not against, fwiw)

She does have high hormone levels like a male but that doesn't mean anything. Many male athletes also have above standard deviation hormone levels which give them an advantage (and in this case it's not even an advantage, considering her past scores).

afaic, if you didn't go through a male puberty & don't have hormone levels similar to that of a male, then there's no problem.

Categories are kinda needed in sport though, otherwise that's the end of (most) female sports, we all know that 🤷‍♂️

From what I understand:

* If we have only female or male categories, she's female, no doubt

* If we have female, male, intersex categories, she can be considered female or intersex. That's mainly because she has DSD, but even within this condition she leans to have more biological female traits

Overall, gender is fluid and even sex is complex, categorization is often problematic, live and let live.
