betting on crypto ultimately feels pessimistic 

given the use cases so far, crypto is useful in the world full of:
1) desperate gamblers
2) authoritative governments
3) controlling corporations
4) weak economies

crypto thrives when there's more of it

i realise this is a total vibe killer, but:

1) i couldn't find any good arguments against it
2) i like staying bearish when the coin goes up
3) it doesn't make me stop working on crypto, just something that i've realised and wanted to share

The same could have been said when Snowden  and out and most providers moved the SSL within the following months. Monopolies on trust and security is an anti-pattern. Even during 100 years of peace living in Utopia, people should default to self sovereignty
