How do you cope with the end of a training block after a key race? Do you take time to recover and gradually build back up, or do you lock in your next race and immediately start another build to compound your fitness gains toward a new PR?

I have four months between marathons this year. I’ll probably do a full recovery for a couple weeks and then get back at it

Just enough for recovery. I typically run like junk for two weeks after a hard race

Yeah, these ultras beat up my legs… the descents are gnarly.
