Without visibility, what is the purpose of freedom of speech? I try to be involved in discussions but half the people can’t read my posts or reply’s. This is a real problem that needs addressing.

Sometimes filmmaker/artist. Often up in arms. Big dreams/little bags. Crypto true believer. 

I like how Varun defines sufficient decentralization:

Building an audience and freedom of speech are 2 different things. I think the ease of building an audience will fluctuate over time, but it doesn't mean freedom of speech is compromised

… and then quickly accuse farcaster of not being decentralized or squashing free speech 

So I always go back to Varun’s definition which has stayed consistent- can 2 users communicate even if the rest of the network wants to prevent it?

Yup- you’re not wrong. Access is a much harder problem to solve for- and hopefully as the network expands we’ll have lots of different clients working on it and the best will win over a long enough time horizon. 

The reason I bring up free speech is bc people complain about lack of visibility, shadow bans, etc…

This is interesting and ngl parts are a bit over my head. I’m not really arguing free speech here- I’m arguing access. If Power Badge and priority mode are siloed and one’s ability to access is incumbent on interacting with those silos - it creates a very small door for entry.
