Vitriol on X against Sriram’s appointment has so far led to what seems to me a very positive outcome:

Sacks and Elon have publicly stood up for putting meritocracy over nationalism when it comes to solving the most critical problems facing the US and the world. 

A very silver lining to an idiotic cloud.

He’s in politics now, that’s for sure. I don’t envy him.
