product designers are the architects of software. architects create blueprints, instructions for others to hit hammer to nail. what if architects could create blueprints for cranes, instead? in other words, why are you, a product designer, using figma instead of vibe coding?

practical answer: 1. time – i hire people to code vol for me bc i don’t have time to both code and design. 2. trust – in larger orgs, vibe coding won’t be approved for production. optimistic answer: we’re just not there yet with ai tools. in a few years i hope we can reduce the gap between idea to artefact on prod so much that what you described will be the norm to building.
