Who’s building agents that transact with other agents or independently operated services?
I mean agents buying data, compute, or actions across trust boundaries—not only using their owner’s wallet.

x402 could be cryptos website moment
during the dotcom boom, if you had a website you became an “internet company”
just Iike now, if your business or startup uses crypto, you’re a “crypto company”
x402 lets traditional companies come onchain without having to rebrand, and keep existing payment rails
of course, this likely doesn’t stop here, and brings crypto features in an emergent way over time

x402 enabled agents don’t even necessarily have to do things in crypto
you can just give them a wallet, and build them for whatever use case, and let them rip
top up with wallet periodically with stable coins, and all the abstraction is hidden from the user, and they only deal with increasingly powerful and delightful results

the biggest problem facing x402 users today is that services can’t be trusted to actually follow the behavior they advertise
the provable API stack (esp with reputation protocols like ERC 8004) will help solve this
