Dance with the dice. A slogan Nick Francis lives by. A way of life, a life warped by insatiable desire. Snakes eyes, double fives, ace deuce, six the hard way. Nick always rolls the dice of life and he keeps a pair dangling from his rearview in his ford pick-up named baby blue.

17 years ago, I met Dave at a party I was photographing. He nudged me toward the video button on my camera and I captured my first moving image of a sea turtle rising from the ocean. That encouragement set a new interest into motion picture. Since then, Dave has opened doors for me into production, technology, and has been a champion of my artistic journey. A friend and mentor.
So It’s only right that he was there at the birth of Flamboozle. What began as jokes and imagined characters grew into a film & Dave was always in service to the story, from the script till now...challenging every draft for the better of the film.

As we approached principal shooting, I realized there was one key crew member still missing, someone I knew I needed to hire locally. I was fortunate to come across Sophie’s work. Based out of Albany, NY, she is an outstanding makeup artist. Sophie joined us for the week and immediately hit the ground running. This was her first MUA gig on a film set and she delivered like a seasoned pro. Huge thanks to Sophie for maintaining MUA continuity across our cast and for diving headfirst into a new experience alongside the entire team.

A short film is built by a handful of people wearing many hats, working long hours, fueled by passion and a belief in the vision.
Thank you to my partner @snapshotlopes , for capturing this moment of me, hands on & flashing a rare but genuine smile amid a week of obstacles, pivots, and grinding it out with a small but mighty cast and crew.
I’m deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to write and direct my first short narrative film this past year, one of my most ambitious projects to date.
Looking ahead to 2026 and the premiere of FLAMBOOZLE!

Every idea sharpens through friends and collaborators who show up, challenge it, and keep the flame alive.
The Park is a collective at its core: a tight trifecta that naturally branched outward, reaching across disciplines and geographies. A motley crew built on conversation & ideas tested through riffs, rants, and the occasional unhinged flamboozle detour, usually over coffee, usually weekly. "Happy Friday" isn't just a sign off it's a practice, a lifestyle, a way of approaching everyday like its Friday! Grateful for this crew & their support during this artistic journey!

Early on in pre-production, I knew we needed someone local to Long Lake, someone who knew the town, had the energy, and was excited to try something new. The film needed someone who could jump into every production need without hesitation. Being the first one on set and the last to leave is not for the weary, and a production assistant’s long days require grit, enthusiasm, and heart.
I’m grateful to have been introduced to Alyssa Smith a local artist and gallery owner who brought all of that and more.
We even featured one of Alyssa’s linocut pieces, Flow, as a prop in the film tucked below the counter. When we wrapped, Alyssa generously gifted the piece to our DP
