Artifact 073 Something I discovered from the behind the scene photos was while I was on set directing I’d sometimes close my eyes or look away from the monitor and just listen to the actors. Not every take, but enough to realize that I was trying to focus more intently on the delivery and energy of a performance. I do wonder if this had to do with the fact that it was my first screenplay or something that I picked up to stay hyper focused and turn down the producer side of my brain. Artifact 072. It’s been 206 days since we wrapped principal shooting in Long Lake, NY. During the past 9 month period the post team has been putting all the efforts into sculpting this film. String-outs, drafts, revisions, music, original foley & score, beautiful coloring, adjustments, micro-adjustments, tweaks, edits, updates, more tweaks..lol, you get the idea. None of this would have been possible without my friend and super Editor: Erick Lee Cummings. Erick has been in the trenches with me more than anyone on this project and has stayed the course to the very end. Artifact 069 A massive week with @fridaysatthepark Burning the midnight oil for 5 straight days in the Studio. Ben & Fernando at the helm! The team put in some serious work fine tuning, enhancing, dialing in, and mixing together the music, dialogue, and sound effects into a beautiful 16 minute masterpiece of sound. Im floored at the TLC that supervising sound editor & music supervisor Ben Schwier put into this film. Feature level love! Thank you to Chris for his expertise, and to Fernando for getting in the trenches on the re-recording mix and helping sculpt Flamboozle in every way. Thank you to Maddi for enhancing the special VO moments and @joshlippi for creating unique tones and expanding upon the sound landscape. Artifact 068 Foley is in full swing. Ben brought a handful of every day items used to create unique sound effects in the studio w/ Chris last week. Having custom/curated sound effects elevates the film in every way. Creating foley for a film is something I have always loved! Artifact 064 Behind the scenes with Gregg and Mo back in Sept executing a drone follow shot. The concept was to track the old pick up truck as it drove down Main Street and over the bridge. The rain settled for a short window to a slow drizzle but allowed us to capture 3 takes before it started pouring again.
