Cherry blossoms along the river in my home town.

As sakura winds down, I wanted to share a few photos I took of our local California spring ritual: spring wildflower walks. They are not sakura, but they are just as fleeting. Hope you enjoy!

I’m still seeing Sakura but I really have to hunt for it. Most of the blossoms are gone but some of the later blooming varieties are shining through a sea of green!

This is probably the last official hanami for this season.
In Japan, there is a saying, "Dumplings are better than flowers".
But I prefer flowers to dumplings.
