@kenny
my long thoughts on @ethdenver
- hugely grateful to @kmacb.eth for being my sherpa as a first-timer, I don't think I could've asked for a more seamless intro experience
- I got everything out of it that I wanted and more, so I really don't understand the generic complaints that I saw on X
granted, it was my first time, and it could've legitimately been much better other years, but the event seemed well run, the side events were plentiful, and there was always someone interesting to talk to
- highlight of the week was the @yearn dodgeball event organized by @justalexty, @cupojoseph, and the Nerite team
obviously dodgeball was fun, but I also stumbled into a side event that @jb87ua was running in parallel for @desciworld + Bonfires(.)ai
I learned about MesoReefDAO, @jupiterblock, other DeSci/regen/governance initiatives, and ended up giving a presentation about how /poidh social bounties can use crypto to incentivize IRL actions
it was legitimately the best talk I've ever given on poidh, was recorded via Bonfires, and I now have a ton of leads to chase down for potential collaborations
oh and at the end @scupytrooples walked in + gave a talk on Alchemix + I connected with @blockenthusiast to nerd out about DAO governance tech
I couldn't have asked for a better spontaneous collection of people
- my biggest takeaway: there is so much energy within the crypto community to get shit done with this tech via innovations in human coordination, and poidh can be a key tool for that goal if I educate people properly on the potential for social bounties
the majority of the attention is on finance/gambling/speculation, but a massive desire to move the real world is hiding under the surface
when I explain poidh's unique properties in person, I see the lightbulb go off for people because they've been looking for something to be excited about
the market is there if we can figure out distribution
