"a nervous system and mindset reset" stood out to me from @tessla's reflections Recently I've thought about how the nervous system relates to places reflecting on the cities I've lived in outside of the US the past few years • I've noticed that spending time in initially foreign places can become home with my nervous system syncing to the flow of a neighborhood and local communities • Being around people who understand you and you connect with as well as different types of people that help you think in alternate ways • Building my hierarchy of healthy routines I enjoy like walking to most places, access to affordable and healthy food, and exercise After my first @edgecity in a small town in Chiang Mai I felt the warmth of familiar faces for the months after when living in Bangkok, my 1st big city in Asia, with many people passing through to visit or running into people on the streets full of strangers. https://x.com/tessla0x0/status/1995972724637024298

Life is good indeed. Edge Patagonia turned into yet another one of those ✨ special ✨ experiences. So sad we have to leave already. Will come back soon for sure 💜 For the beautiful town, the people, new friends and to escape the German winter haha

One of my favorite features of timer-tab[dot]com is the active countdown time shown in the tab name 👀⏲️ It allows me to quickly glance at how much time is left while remaining focused in the current browser window Nice to have for Murmur too!

I liked Koko's feature ideas today from our Murmur 💡 ⏲️ Set a break time for the coworking session This gives everyone a notification sound reminder at the set time 🖼️ Picture in picture for the video Option to show persistently on the screen. We both had multiple windows open and it took us a few seconds to get back to the video to unmute.

I've been creating Murmur sessions ad hoc sometimes 30 min before on the calendar as I see good opportunities for virtual coworking I'm going to test out planning more ahead by adding to the calendar the night before after prioritizing what I'll work on the next morning

I did my first @edgecity focused coworking session with @chancetaken and it's a great way to stay connected with friends and meet new people 👨🏻‍💻👨🏻‍💻 Benefits - Quality coworkers signing in with their Edge City identities - Positive time and social pressure - Count down timer is similar to the Pomodoro method (Planned focused time sessions) - Commitment to focused time with someone else and the video in the screen corner as a reminder - Reason to minimize distractions, schedule time on calendar for no meetings, turn phone on do not disturb, close door, etc. - Easy to coordinate time with timezone profile setting. I also indicated my preferred time in my about profile. What I worked on - Drafted an "@ethereum is for crowdfunding" post series based on what I've learned the past month - I launched a @juicebox project to help my brother recover from a fire that destroyed everything and researched specific product upgrades to make crowdfunding more accessible to all (Link 🔽)

For the consciousness crowd… Is dementia a loss of memory or perhaps the result of clinging to tightly? I’ve been playing around with that conjecture as I notice folks in my life deal with that dreadful disease. One commonality across those folks from my (subjective biased POV) is that they cling to an out of date life script. To give a computer analogy, there’s an old O/S with lots of files cluttered everywhere. Freedom to remember things in the short term comes from keeping RAM clear!

I discovered the @edgecity project while I was visiting Chiang Mai during Bangkok DevCon last year, and I loved it. We only stopped by to see some friends who were actively involved, but the idea captivated me instantly and I haven’t stopped thinking about this concept since. Recently I came across this post about Gelephu Mindfulness City in Bhutan, another brilliant move. The next one is in Patagonia and it makes perfect sense. I had the pleasure of visiting it 17 years ago when I spent a year studying in Argentina, San Martín is an Edge City by right. I wonder if at some point we’ll see one in the Canary Islands, the outer periphery of Spain.
