BCCI's decision to have three playoff venues instead of two has removed some advantage from a top 2 finish.
The team losing Qualifier 1 will have this path to the final:
May 26: Qualifier 1 in Dharamsala
May 29: Qualifier 2 in Mullanpur
May 31: Final in Ahmedabad
The team winning Eliminator will have this path to the final:
May 27: Eliminator in Mullanpur
May 29: Qualifier 2 in Mullanpur
May 31: Final in Ahmedabad
The team finishing 3rd/4th will have to play 3 games in 5 days, but across only 2 venues.
The team finishing in the top 2 will have to play 3 games in 6 days, across 3 different venues.
One extra day for 1st/2nd team but one extra city too.
