Good afternoon With this unpredictable weather, I’m really grateful that I can still harvest some chilies. It’s not much, and a few are wilted because of the heavy rain and almost flooding, but I still feel incredibly thankful.

Welp, state of the /allotment trenches: My daughter just fell into a bathtub full of algae water at the allotment... Again. 🫣 As in, full body submersion and completely soaked in algae water. Boots full of water. She's gone home with mum to bathe, I'm gonna keep pruning the fruit trees.

Been quieter at the /allotment as the season slows. Tomatoes are almost done, and it's full on apple harvest szn! Today I spent a few hours weeding, digging, fertilizing and preparing an area for the elephant garlic to plant into. Remember to get your garlics planted before the cold sets in! They need a long cold winter period to form their best.

How has everyone's /allotment been lately? Awfully quiet in here (myself included)... For us, the season is wrapping up slowly. News from arfy's plot: - Managed to harvest the Halloween pumpkin last weekend, nothing massive, but it'll do. Going to make some pie with the innards as well. - Courgettes continue to produce, which is always nice. Been making everything from soup to stir fries with them. - Tomatoes are still being harvested, both cherry and standard tomatoes. Been a fantastic year for tomatoes! Punnets and punnets in our fridge still to eat. - Raspberries are still producing, if you can believe that! They are slowing down though and I expect this weekend might be the final harvest. Really long raspberry season this year, which I'm chuffed about. What about you folks? Hope everything has gone well for you this season! 🙏😻

Went to the /allotment today, mostly to water and harvest. The big news is that the thornless blackberries we planted this season are starting to ripen! 🙏😸 Came home with courgettes, raspberries, apples, and lots and lots of cherry tomatoes! 😻🍅
