Went for a walk this afternoon and took a look at Storer House built by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1923

In an area with a lot of beautiful homes it stands out with its design and detail

i hate 'revival' as an architectural descriptor but 'mayan revival' kinda hard

Such a quick and easy solution, why didn’t they think of that?

my entire college was “neo-mayan” and it was a running joke how ugly it was. clearly shouldn’t have cheaped out and sprang for FLW

Pretty cool design imo. Looked into it a bit and it was a construction style he was tinkering with and only did 4 times (all around LA)
